Did you get an otterbox for the ipad...... love to see Dimitri handling the ball My teenager gets quite the same 'really, mom, _bye_' look. Are you able to use the wheelchair on those sidewalks?

I think the cat has the best response to the crisis.

The case we got is a Griffin "survivor", had to order from amazon UK, they don't have the otterbox which would have been our first choice. So far so good. I've been getting a lot of those go away looks from Dimitri, especially when he is with the iPad, he gives me a shove to go away...The wheelchair is pretty much as expected, we can only chose certain routes and often are in the road, but we are kind of used to that. I am wondering how long the wheelchair will last! Still beats the lying down on the pavement situation.

The crisis, oh my gosh, woke up to hear finmin has said no to referendum (not sure his saying no means much), can't see how the vote of confidence will go well now. Wish I was a cat sometimes.

Oh, my goodness, it's good to see you back -- and your boy.

I hope you're both well --

Excellent! I can comment here again!

Dimitri is looking very well! (Your kitty - notsomuch.) ;)

The wheelchair can be a useful tool - when used as such. Good luck on keeping it in the 'up' category.

Hi Barbara, I had no idea it wasn't working, thanks for letting me know!!

I'm not entirely happy with the wheelchair we got as it's for an adult as you can probably see, but it works for getting from a to b, even though the pavements are awful. Have traded the benefits of walking for a more hmmm, relaxed experience once out? The down is Dimitri likes it so much he may never leave the house again on foot...

A 'down' side indeed, Emma. Has he refused to walk and/or indicated he wants the wheelchair? Hopefully you have a place to store it out-of-sight unless you choose to use it. I hope the wheelchair is a convenience for you - he is entirely too large to lift/carry, as when he is ill and needs to go to the doctor, for instance. I also hope that the wheelchair is a means for Dimitri to visit places he might otherwise not be able to visit. (2 'up' sides)

I don't see a problem with it being an 'adult' chair - unless he outgrows it!

You probably know wheelchair access is so much different here. I suppose families like yours are pioneers in being present in public with a person with a disability. ?

Dimitri just refuses to walk, as we live on 2nd floor apartment we keep the wheelchair downstairs in the garage, but Dimitri will just stop at this door and refuse to budge...but it is expanding our world as well.

Wouldn't call myself a pioneer:)Of late I am seeing more people with disabilities out and about, it's an encouraging sign.
